Lent Update & Parish Issues

I will be absolutely honest: I have failed miserably with keeping up with my Lenten promises. I won't say what my promises were since I'm rather ashamed of them.

There's about two weeks left for this liturgical season, so that means there's two weeks to "salvage" my set standards.

To start things off "right", I need to schedule a confession with one of my local parishes. I've tried to attend confession for the past two months, but every time there's a line that barely inches forward. I wonder what type of sins the people are confessing - must be serious. Since I help out at Saturday mass I need to be ready once the mass starts; due to the slow confession line I'm forced to yank myself out of queue in order for me to get to my spot on time. It's frustrating.

I'm not scheduled to help out this Saturday so I'm planning on attending confession at another parish, with hopes that the line will actually move and that the priest shows up on time. My home parish is  Novus Order type, the type that borders on being a Protestant mass. I'm sometimes a little embarassed by it. The other parish I'm eying for confession is also a Novus Order type but they're more "serious", a larger congregation and probably has more than one priest scheduled to hear sinners.

Apparently the alt-right scares the living sh*t outa The Left.

This is not something new I've realized.

I belong to a facebook group for the INTJ personality. Today one member posted a question (in a rather confrontational manner) wanting "members" of the alt-right to explain how the ethnostate vaunted by the alt-right will come to fruition without violence. The member who asked this was a black  man.

My reply? I asked if he knew what the alt-right was and that some statements - like calling Trump's administration a "regime" - was embarrassing. The poster replied back saying I was "cucky" to which I said he wasn't eve using "cuck" correctly.

I don't believe I'll be responding any further due to the fact that A) I barely, if ever (until now) ever post anything political on facebook, and doing just seems strange; and B) ever since I re-engaged in facebook two months ago after a five year absence, I have already grown irritated and tired of all the leftist political bullshit (mainly coming from a single leftist).

I also want to note that anti-Trump is the new anti-Bush/Palin syndrome. The member who posted the question has a background picture that shows a Trojan horse with Trump's head, unleashing Russian soldiers within America (Statue of Liberty is in the background). All of a sudden The Left is gravely concerned about America's liberties. How, um, cute.

If there was a losing argument it would be the pro undocumented students & pro illegal aliens argument.

They're just so, um, stupid. Utterly stupid.
"The Europeans came to America and stole land! They should go back to Europe!"

"Immigration is natural to humans [uh oh there's that ' it's natural' thing]. It's basic human instinct to move to another county when one fears for their lives."

"If all of the illegal immigrants were deported America's economy would slowly die."

"If you are from a mixed family, a woman, non-white, LGBTQAI+ or undocumented BE STRONG. Remember you are loved. You are wanted. You are not alone."
"I thought this was the land of the free? Guess not."
Remember, there's only integrity in following the law when it serves the minority or the illegal.

Oh modernism. You come up with the darndest things.

Vegan: If you care about the well-being of animals you wouldn't put them through fear and death. When you support the slaughtering of animals you support  a holocaust.

Same-sex Mirage Supporter: Your personal ideology and ego are getting in the way of supporting your homosexual family member when you refuse to attend his wedding. Your act is vile.

Same-sex Mirage Supporter #2: Those traditional, fundamental Christians hate everything that has to with gays. I'm so sick of them! I support a household, regardless if it's a traditional family or not, when it produces happy and healthy kids!
